Children ages 4 through 10 are invited to participate in the Woodstock Council of Churches Vacation Church School. Again this year the children and VCS  leaders will re-create a Bible times village on the grounds of  St. Gregory's Episcopal Church.    Tents provide homes for the tribes and the create the illusion of a marketplace in which craftspersons teach and demonstrate their wares, herbs and spices are sold, and Bibletimes workers pursue their vocations.  All participants make colorful costumes that enhance the learning experience of living in Bibletimes.

A minimum fee of $5 per family covers some of the costs of crafts and learning materials.  The Woodstock Council of Churches underwrites the remainder of the expenses of providing the VCS for all children of the Woodstock area.  Membership in one of the local congregations is not required for participation in the Vacation Church School.
